My friend just bought cod4 for ps3 and for some reason when he goes to find find match the "downloading game settings" message appears and won't allow him to get into a game. Ive never had this problem with my 360 version, has anyone else had this problem or any advice on what to do?

Check internet connection?

I never had this problem on my 360 also.

i don't know, never had this problem. It does say this when I start but its just for like a second. Sorry cannot help

ya its the same message you get when you start....i have no idea why it comes out when you go to find match

the connection is fine other games work online. He thinks it might have something to do with a recent patch but isn't really sure

I have NO idea, try resetting the CoD4 stuff? If that's possible, I dunno

I've had it pop up on my 360, but usually goes away after 10-20 seconds.
